The plight of the orang-utans FOUR PAWS helps Orangutans in Borneo
Displaced from their forests by the escalating environmental destruction, Orangutans are starving or captured for the pet trade. FOUR PAWS is cooperating with the BOS Foundation in Indonesia to provide sustainable solutions for orang-utans in need: Orangutans orphans are rescued, nursed back to health and sent to “forest school”, before being re-introduced into a protected forest.

Lioness “Limpy” Successful shoulder operation eases her pain
A lioness, portentously named Limpy, was observed limping due to a shoulder ailment. After a short series of examinations it became clear that she needed a costly operation. In October 2008 this complex procedure was performed in Pretoria.
